History of Dinkelacker Shoe
In 1879 the story of Dinkelacker was established at Stutgart. Meanwhile Dinkelacker Shoe is one of the last old fashioned shoe manufacturer focussing on high quality gentlemen's footwear. Then 40 years ago it was no longer worth to produce handmade shoes in Germany with such high wages, so production was changed to Budapest, Hungary. Apart from Mr. Laszlo Vass only Dinkelacker Shoes may name themselves the legitimated Budapester RTW (ready to wear). Dinkelacker represents a German Company, however, the footwear is being made at Budapest, Hungary.
Still today like 100 years ago not more than one pair of handsewn Dinkelacker Shoe per employee and day is being produced at Budapest. The traditional and old fashioned knowledge of a family continuously stepped into the process of shoe manufacturing.
Each Dinkelacker Shoe is marked inside after having been proved and accepted by the Master. That’s one reason why Dinkelacker Shoes now belong to a century-old tradition of handworked shoe classics, representing a quiet, sure way the solid values of the man who wears them.
In 2005 the enterprise changed into new hands, i.e. Wendelin Wiedeking, the Porsche Manager.
